Lori
Parker is our WPOY for 2010. She
has been a long time volunteer in our Chapter.
A scholarship winner herself, she is an enthusiastic member
of the Scholarship Committee making sure that the awards are well
publicized and encouraging pilots to apply.
She also does a great job helping candidates prepare
applications that focus on the areas in which the judges are most
interested for both the Chapter and International Scholarships.
She
has served on the Board as Secretary and Treasurer, managing our
healthy accounts to optimize the number of scholarships we can
offer. This year she is
the Vice Chair.
Lori
is the ‘public face’ of the pancake breakfasts each year,
cheerfully taking orders. This
is one of our major scholarship fundraising activities.
She is often to be found taking photos at our many events –
meetings, classes, the Holiday Party and the Air Show.
She
flies a T210 out of Camarillo, and recently became a would-be F35
pilot after a simulator session on the East Coast. |
